What to expect when you're expecting...to sell

You've decided that you're ready to sell your home and move up to something newer/bigger/nicer etc. You want to use a Realtor to make sure you get the highest possible offer for your property, in the fastest time, without having to worry about being protected on the closing paperwork.  But how to choose the right Realtor for you??

INTERVIEW!

Never let a listing agent make you forget that they work for you.  Interview at least two or three Realtors.  Ask each of them your version of, "What value are you going to bring to me?"  Make sure that they have a clear understanding of your expectations and that they clearly communicate their expectations back to you. 

Choose the Realtor who displays that they understand exactly what you're looking to accomplish and effectively shows you how they're going to take you there.  Don't forget that real estate transactions will be among the most expensive sales and purchases you make in your lifetime.  There are too many great Realtors to choose one you are not completely comfortable with.

Middle TN Real Estate is Heating Up

Last month Middle TN home sales were up 22% and average home sale prices 12.5% higher than the same month last year.  According to the Tennessean, new home inventory levels are the lowest they've been since 2007.  Tennessean Story

So what exactly does this mean?

The Middle TN real estate market has quickly flipped from a buyers market to a sellers market.  Home prices continue to rise quickly.  If you considered making a move in recent years and didn't due to deflated value, now would be a great time to have a Realtor preform an updated appraisal on your property.
